The Nike Zoom Kobe V of 2009/2010 proved to be one of the most ‘collectible’ Nike Basketball shoes ever, releasing in memorable themes like the ‘Bruce Lee‘ and the opposing ‘Chaos’ and ‘Dark Knight’ renditions. The Kobe VI kept the pace going with the electrifying ‘Grinch/Green Mamba’ colorway and the trio LA Pack, setting up the platform for Kobe’s MVP performance at the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII was a bit of a curveball, as it released first in a pricey Supreme version, introduced to the world on Christmas Day when the NBA Season officially kicked off. The following versions of the ‘Predator Pack’ was previewed with a release schedule already set, but earlier this month, we were hit with a dazzling new colorway that we definitely did not see coming (no pun intended). Dubbed the ‘Invisibility Cloak’, this upcoming Kobe VII release features a Chameleon-esque ability to change colors in different lightning, but ironically stands out even more due to the gorgeous Turquoise-to-Purple iridescence. Do these have the potential to grow a legend like the Grinch or the Bruce Lee? Check out the detailed gallery of the ‘Invisibility Cloak’ below and stay tuned for a release this Saturday, as they will release at select Nike Basketball retailers like House of Hoops.
