We’re two weeks from the extra day that gets tacked onto the end of February each leap year, but everybody knows that the best thing going on years divisible by four is the Summer Olympics Games. This year’s London Olympiad marks twenty years since Michael Jordan and the original Dream Team’s dominant performance in Barcelona, so you know Jordan Brand’s going to be all over that opportunity. But for all you young sneakerheads out there, the Air Jordan VI Retro ‘Olympic’ wasn’t MJ’s choice at the XXIV Games (he moved on to the Seven during the NBA season leading up to the ’92 Olympics), but rather Ray Allen who rocked them en route to the 2000 gold medal in Sydney. Sneakerbox Clyde just caught Miami sneaker boutique SoleFly owner/founder Daniel Hidalgo rocking the ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan 6 Retros and they’re looking close to a spot-on reproduction of the original, but with JB’s fall 2012 lineup jam-packed with heat, how close to the top of your list are these? Click through for more and stick with Sneaker News for updates in advance of the July 7th release date.
