Vans has arguably done more for the classic plimsoll design than any other brand since Keds (or maybe even the Liverpool Rubber Company who pioneered the design in the early 19th century?!), but instead of the oxford style, this new model from the Core lineup is constructed more like a derby shoe. That means the eyestay is attached atop the vamp on the new Vans Type II lowtop, though it’s pulled back to protect the ollie area. This results in a model that looks like the logical continuation from Authentic to Era to forty years later, and you can see some of the blocking possibilities in the first four colorways we’ll show you after the jump.
