They came in colorways made famous by some of the original ZX series runners, but when the adidas Originals adiMEGA Torsion Flex debuted last summer, the closest thing anyone’d seen to their unique sole design was probably something from the Reebok ZigTech line. But now that we’ve had a good six months to digest the exaggerated flexible sole, it’s time to welcome some new variations on the silhouette like this new Mega Torsion Flex Trek that adds a midfoot strap to a white and black colorway with newly emphasized branding. The gold hit on the upper ankle is a particularly nice feature on this pair, a detail that serves to connect these to Three Stripes’ long established street cred despite these being as far from a Superstar shelltoe as you can get. Like many of adidas Originals’ sneakers, these are for the bold, and you can find them available now at select retailers including Kicks-crew.
