Air Jordan VI ‘Porsche 911’ Customs By C2

When you think of Michael Jordan off the basketball court, images of golf clubs, cigars and finely tailored suits come to mind.  Michael is a man whose status has allowed him to indulge in the finer things in life, and as his involvement with the namesake motorsports company in recent years has further proven, a guy who loves fast autos.  This latest custom job from Chris Hui aka C2 presents the Air Jordan VI in a colorway that expresses the design inspiration Tinker Hatfield saw in the Porsche 911, only this time, the connections are far more than implied.  These come in the kind of glossy red coating you’d expect from the fine German automaker, but it’s all about the details on this pair, with a rich tan leather mimicking the luxury interior, Porsche emblems appropriated for the Jumpman on the heels and even the 911’s quad-exhaust setup mimicked below those on both heels.  They’re quite simply one of the most thorough manifestations of car-inspired sneaker design we’ve seen, and you can check out a variety of additional images after the jump below.  via PaintOrThread
