They’ve yet to come close to established brands like Nike and adidas when it comes to sheer star power on their roster of endorsees, but Under Armour is quietly building a solid roster of young studs and doing exactly what you’d want to see from a burgeoning footwear maker in their position. UA just signed Blake Griffin’s frontcourt mate DeAndre Jordan to a shoe contract, so perhaps he’ll be a part of next year’s pack depending on the success of the Under Armour 2011 Christmas PE Collection. Taking off on one of Nike’s recent holiday traditions, UA brings Brandon Jennings’ Under Armour Micro G Bloodline ‘Rudolph’ along with a faux-fur upper and ‘jingle bell’ graphics on the midfoot strap. Joining the Bucks’ young 1 is Memphis’ Greivis Vasquez’ ‘Feliz Navidad’ Micro G Juke, Kemba Walker’s pair in a different colorway and Derrick Williams’ Micro G Supersonic, and it looks like these four NBA newbies are the only ones who’ll have them, as no retail plans are announced and there’s not really any time left to do so.
