Nike Basketball broke the red and green mold with last year’s Christmas Day Collection that featured the LeBron 8 V.2, Zoom KD III and Zoom Kobe VI in a ‘Signal Your Color’ theme. Each shoe had its own inspiration, yet they came together to form something like a stoplight, but this time around the big three sigs each go their own way at the fork in the road. The Nike LeBron 9 stays with the seasonal theme with its red upper adding white accents and green laces, and even the Zoom KD IV can be seen as somewhat traditional with its ornamental Metallic Bronze upper adding red laces. And while there are also red laces and (neon) green accents on the Zoom Kobe VII Supreme, that shoe’s ‘Cheetah’ colorway takes it even further than last year’s ‘Grinch’, and is easily the most inventive and indirectly Christmas-y of the bunch.
