While the Carmelo Anthony trade provided a nice jolt of energy to NYC basketball, you have to give all credit to Amar’e Stoudemire for resurrecting it from the dead. Undoubtedly a legitimate MVP candidate for last season, Stoudemire has embraced the NYC sports and fashion culture rather seamlessly and has emerged as one of the faces for Nike Sportswear’s ‘Always On’ segments, and this Monday night, STAT and the Always On artists (Vado, Stalley, Jesse Boykins III) will be on hand for Stoudemire’s Always On video at 21 Mercer.
