The term ‘express’ emanates vibes of pure speed and efficiency, so this seemingly 90’s inspired design, complete with the Air Griffey Max II outsole, the classic mid-foot strap, and the mid-90’s Air Max logo on the tongue might be a bit more advanced than you think. Here’s a first look at six different colorways of the Nike Air Max Express – a turf shoe trainer inspired by many of our 90’s favorites like the Air Griffey Max legacy and other turf greats; a seamless Hyperfuse upper appears to be attached to the base of the shoe, as well as a carbon-fiber stabilized heel that should give an added lightweight advantage. Is this a continuation of the Griffey, or is Nike getting a bit more creative by combining new with old in light of Nike’s 2012 take-over of NFL outfitting? Sneaker News already dropped exclusive images of two great upcoming Retros like the Total Air Pillar and the Speed Turf Max, so if you’re in love with those two, we presume you’d be all aboard the Air Max Express. Check out all six upcoming Fall 2012 releases below and don’t hesitate to give us your thoughts.
