The ‘Old Royal’ colorway of the Air Jordan X has been one of the more popular topics of discussion here on Sneaker News for several reasons. Not only does it mark the first new Retro+ colorway of the Air Jordan X, but it also boasts a significant difference from previous Air Jordan X Retro releases – the mesh material used as the base-layer of the lace placket. Many seem to have expressed a desire for leather instead of mesh, but it appears that it will be a common feature for upcoming Air Jordan X retros, as seen on the White/Violet GS release. The ‘Old Royal’ will follow the drop of the ‘Chicago’ colorway, which does in fact use leather in the area of note, so do you think these are a ‘worthy’ follow-up to that long-awaited original?
