However, it’s been confirmed that these have no real influence from the Scarface film, although anything White/Black/Red would be readily attributed to Tony Montana and the iconic movie due to LeBron’s current affiliation with the city of Miami. What’s true about this LeBron 9 colorway is that the graphic art was designed by Alvaro Ilizarbe, aka Freegums, a local artist in Miami; it features an intricate detailing on the inner lining as well as the toe-box that is seen in Alvaro’s trademark style – a mosaic of imagery inspired by deities and the supernatural.
