As the sneakerhead subculture continues to grow in breadth and sophistication, we’re seeing more and more art inspired by kicks. From Air Jordan ceramic sculptures to something like a massive cheeseburger, the range of media used to represent sneakers is quite wide, so what happens when you go the other way and use shoes to make something else? Just as we saw with his work utilizing the Air Jordan V and Nike Air Max 1, Vinti Andrews prefers to utilize deconstructed vamps to craft aggressive dog figures.
