Nike LeBron 9 Low – First Look

Nike Lebron 9 Obsidian 1

For the most part, low-top LeBron shoes have been easily overlooked over the last few years, but the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low easily proved that low-top variants of the original ‘Mid’ models are strong enough to stand on their own – at least for now. Here’s a first look at the Nike LeBron 9 Low, and right off the bat you can distinguish the glaring differences between the Mid and Low; for starters, the Low utilizes a lightweight injected Phylon midsole with full-length 360 Air Max, while the Mid features the Zoom/Max Air system. The upper features Hyperfuse construction with a lightweight mesh tongue, a full inner sleeve, and synthetic overlays for structural integrity. What it doesn’t feature is the unique micro-weave material on the ankle panel.

Now that you’ve seen the Nike LeBron 9 Low, would you have liked to see full-length Max Air on the Nike LeBron 9 Mid, or perhaps the the Zoom/Max combo on the Low? It’s all a matter of individual tastes, and we won’t have the luxury of a nice side-by-side comparison between Mid and Low until Summer 2012, when the Nike LeBron 9 Low makes its official debut.
