There is much confusion regarding the difference between the Nike Blazer Mid and High. At a glance, they’re the exact same shoe: classically styled upper, bellied Swoosh, vulcanized sole; but a keen eye can spot the differences up close. Take for instance, the Blazer Mid pictured above. Notice how the side walls of its vulc sole are smooth, and how there’s a faux foxing band in the form of a canvas ‘mudguard’ strip just above the point where it attaches to the upper. These key featured distinguish the Mid from the woodgrain-walled Highs (which also lack the ‘foxing’), though this black-on-black design ensures they won’t stand out under most circumstances.
