Each of Jordan Brand’s signature models got ‘Advanced’ this summer, Chris Paul’s CP3 Advance the only one of the three that didn’t feature a Flywire upgrade. Carmelo Anthony’s M7 Advance and the AJ2011 A-Flight both added the superlight, superstrong material to their uppers, and are now joined by a model that debuted some eighteen years ago. The Air Jordan 8.0 takes the criss-crossed strap design to a new level with Flywire beneath, and apparently the change was so radical, it altered the AJVIII’s signature streaking midsole graphics. These are reported to be an October drop by Villa, although we had originally expected the 8.0 to be a 2012 release.
