While these were never technically ‘banned’ by the league, the Air Jordan 1 in Black/Royal was part of rebellious and revolutionary Air Jordan 1 original line of colorways. Considering all the Air Jordan 1 colorways that have released since the AJ1 first debuted in nearly three decades ago, the OG Black/Royal colorway hasn’t popped its head out much, with its most recent Retro release back in 2001 when it came accompanied with a metal Jumpman hangtag and were limited to 50,000 pairs. Another retro release hasn’t been confirmed any-time soon (although the six new Air Jordan 1 colorways hitting stores in August will alleviate that pain), but here we have a look at an OG pair of the Black/Royal Air Jordan 1 High.
