Sneaker News unveiled the Battle Of The Customs feature, placing a much deserved spotlight on the great custom sneakers and the talented artists behind them. Our first Battle featured the Air Jordan VI, in which the ‘South Beach’ custom created by Eric Lowry came out on top. The second focused on the Dunk High and eleven outstanding designs, one of which was Diversitile’s ‘Child’s Play’ custom. Our third feature bounces back to signature shoes – the Nike LeBron 8. This tough battle features eight different custom designs from three different artists, so be sure to check out all eight below and vote for your favorite at the very end!

The Undefeated x Air Jordan IV is one of the rarest and most prized Air Jordans ever created. MizzeeCustoms transferred that notion to the Nike LeBron by repainting a Nike LeBron 8 V/1 in the same colorway.

NIKE LEBRON 8 ‘GRAND FINALE’ – MIAMI HEAT
Designed by: MizzeeCustoms
In celebration of the 2011 NBA Finals, MizzeeCustoms created two custom pairs of the Nike LeBron 8 V/1 in unique colorways matching both of the Finals participants. The Miami version, similar to LeBron’s P.S. Home PE, features a white upper with yellow speckling on a red midsole.
NIKE LEBRON 8 V/2 ‘DUNKMAN REMIX’
Designed by: Conor Burns
Conor would’ve loved to see the Dunkman colorway take form of the LeBron 8 V/2, so he decided to create his own pair of LeBron 8 V/2 Dunkmans using the Zoom LeBron IV ‘NYC Remix’ as an inspiration behind the graffiti-print midsole.

The Nike LeBron 8 ‘Raptor’ was a transferring of a popular Air Jordan colorway onto the Nike LeBron 8 V/1. By alternating color panels of the leather and Flywire, MizzeeCustoms creates an Air Jordan VII-esque profile. Additional details include the metallic silver speckling on the black midsole.
NIKE LEBRON 8 V/2 ‘SOUTH BEACH’
Designed by: MizzeeCustoms
Arguably the most popular and ‘hyped’ colorway of the LeBron 8 is the South Beach, so MizzeeCustoms took it upon himself to recreate the famed color combination on the LeBron 8 V/2.

The ‘Big O’ Custom was a tribute to NBA legend Oscar Robertson, who some say is better suitor for comparisons to LeBron James’ all-around game. Using a Milwaukee Bucks throwback jersey as an inspiration, MizzeeCustoms pays homage to one of the greatest players of all time using the signature shoe of one of today’s best.
NIKE LEBRON 8 ‘GRAND FINALE’ – DALLAS MAVERICKS
Designed by: MizzeeCustoms
The second half of MizzeeCustoms’ ‘Grand Finale’ project is the Nike LeBron 8 in a Dallas Mavericks colorway. Remember, there was a sample colorway of the LeBron 8 similar to the custom you see here – an alleged ‘Mavericks’ colorway made for LeBron had he selected Dallas as his new team.

Undoubtedly the simplest of customs, sneaker webforum user Mack917 took the Nike LeBron 8 ‘Blackout’ and have it a quick and easy modification via an Infrared colored swoosh border and matching lace eyelets and lions eyes. Such a simple manuever resulted in a powerful outcome!
