Kobe Bryant’s Nike Basketball signature sneaker series has seen its new model released in late December the past several years, which means Kobe starts each new NBA season wearing a new colorway of the model he also wore during the previous campaign.  For last season’s opening tip, Bryant donned the Zoom Kobe V ‘Ring Ceremony’, but because he didn’t succeed in matching Michael Jordan’s two three-peats, something with a different theme is in order.  But even without a championship, this new Nike Zoom Kobe VI is something to celebrate, its Imperial Purple upper and Del Sol accents finally giving us the ‘true’ Lakers colorway for which we’ve been waiting quite a while.  Click through to see more shots and let us know if you plan to pick up the Imperial Purple ZK6 when they hit retail later this year.  via in52
