Lunar, meet griptape. Nike’s LunarLon cushioning emerged from Nike’s Innovation Kitchen and burst through the initial testing phase to become one of the most successful comfort technologies in recent memory. Shoes like the Nike Lunarglide and LunarTrainer have been heralded as some of Nike’s most comfortable running shoes ever, so when Eric Koston was consulting with Nike footwear engineers, he made Lunar a ‘must’ for his first signature shoe. The resultant effort was the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1, which combined Zoom Air with Lunar to form one of the most lightest and skate-ready performance shoes ever created by the Swoosh. Check out this neat video of Nike Lunar in skate action and let us know if you’ve worn the SB Zoom Koston 1 yet.
