Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski ‘Woodgrain’ Quickstrike

Wood grain has been a mark of luxury in automobiles for years but has only been used sparingly on sneakers in the past.  Notable examples include the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Deck’ and ‘Twin Peaks’, the 2010 Nike Basketball NBA All-Star collection, and of course, Michael Lau’s Nike SB collaborations.  In fact, Lau already did a wooden Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski in 2009 as part of the 10th anniversary of his Gardner toy series, but the new one pictured above is closer to the Decks in its execution than Lau’s collabos.  They’re done in a specially treated suede that gives this brown colorway a very organic feel that’s a bit more ‘finished’ when compared to January’s Dunk Low SB that had a similar pattern pressed into its suede side panels.  Click through to see more of the latest Zoom Stefan Janoski Quickstrike and look for a mere 1500 pairs of these to hit select Nike SB retailers in the coming weeks.  via N-SB
