If you’ve had your fill of Kobe VI colorways and are ready for a look at what’s next, here we present the first look at a sample version of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII. Kobe’s seventh signature Nike shoe appears to predictably stick to the low ankle cut, however the ankle collar does appear to reach higher than the previous two Kobe sigs around the heel area. The upper features a composite one piece shell that ditches the reptile scales of the Kobe VI in favor of raised grooves creating something of a microstripe pattern. The outsole and heel cap also keep in line with other recent Kobe shoes with an exaggerated outrigger and a hard plastic shell in back to ensure heel lockdown on such a low cut basketball model. Keep reading to see some more pics for yourself, but keep in mind that these are only a sample and we’re likely to see some changes between here and the final product. The Zoom Kobe VII will most likely start to hit retail at the end of 2011, but if you want to get your hands on this sample version way ahead of time, you can find this pair up for auction now from spcakitty24 on eBay.
