“Slayer . . . it’s like between albums they just put ’em in a block of ice.”
The above quoted line of how Henry Rollins views the band by whom this Brooklyn Projects x Nike SB Dunk High was inspired. Slayer have stuck to their guns and remain one of the pillars of thrash, and now it’ll soon be your choice as to whether you keep the SB Dunk High ‘Reign in Blood’ on ice or take em out on tour. This new Slayer-inspired Dunk SB was designed by BP’s Dom Deluca, who has many ties in the music industry, but settled on the album released in 1986 (by Def Jam, of all labels). It’s been noted as one of the most influential metal albums ever recorded, but will the Slayer SB Dunk come to rank highly in Swoosh Skateboarding lore? Only time will tell, but the 666-pair limited run is sure to draw a ton of attention, so click through to see more and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date. via Warped
