Last year Sneaker News featured an Original pair of the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux for one of our Classics Revisited features after news of a Retro release was confirmed. Now that the release of the Bordeaux VII has passed, let’s take another look at a comparison between the OG and the Retro. One discrepancy that has been mentioned numerous times during Bordeaux discussions on Sneaker News is the absence of green on the tongue (clearly seen on the OG, absent on the Retro). You’ll notice other differences like the color of the insole, shade of green on the triangular badge on the heel, and the shade of grey on the materials on the upper and midsole. Despite not being an exact copy, which can be understandable considering the age of the OGs, the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux release was met with arms wide open and was certainly an easy pick-up for any Jordan fan. Check out the extra comparison shots below and if you still haven’t picked up a pair, snag one now on eBay. A big thanks to Alex for sending the pics.
