And then there were four. The LeBron 8 stretched the limits of a signature by releasing in three different versions – the solid and luxurious LeBron 8 V/1, which features leather and suede constructions, the LeBron 8 V/2, a high-tech version of its predecessor using a Flywire shell upper, and the LeBron 8 P.S., featuring a new Zoom x Max Air cushioning system and HyperFuse material on the upper. Acting as a predecessor to the evolution of the LeBron 8 from Luxury to Sport is the LeBron 8 V4 ‘Milan’, featuring old world crafstmanship and acting as a ‘dress shoe’ version of the Nike LeBron 8. Dubbed the ‘Milan’ by LeBron 8 designer Jason Petrie, this unreleased version of the LeBron 8 was set to emphasize to lifestyle, off-the-court versatility of the LeBron 8, as this tonal black version is solidly built with luxurious black Italian leather with keynote details in the stitch-less and VT leather upper. In the end, Jason Petrie and Nike decided not to release the Milan in an effort to emphasize the LeBron 8 V/1 – V/2 – P.S. storyline, but the Milan proves that Nike has what it takes to create high-performance basketball shoes that can double as high-end dress shoes. Perhaps somewhere down the line we’ll get a Nike LeBron ‘Premio’ line? Continue reading for another look at the LeBron 8 ‘Milan’ and let us know what you think. via NK.
