Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art is known for displaying some of the past 50+ years’ most groundbreaking works and this latest collaboration serves to legitimize sneaker-inspired works as serious fare. Featuring a colorway somewhat similar to the handstyle graffiti banner that currently tops the MOCA website in honor of their ‘Art in the Streets’ survey, 24 pairs of paper Nike SB Dunk Highs were created from Geoff McFetridge works and currently reside on display at the museum’s retail space. These joints are set to be auctioned on May 26th and tees designed by famed artist/collaborators Lance Mountain, Neckface, Futura and CR Stecyk III have also been commissioned.
