There’s no denying the controversy around the Jordan Prime 5, but perhaps it takes a colorway like this one – one that is obviously a lot easier to swallow – to soothe the burning desire to hate on a shoe. The April 2011 releases Air Jordan Prime 5 in the original White/Varsity Red-Black-Metallic Silver colorway undoubtedly brings out the best in the Prime 5 – the oversized 3M-reflective tongue, the clean white upper, the black midsole. The previous releases, which included bold, tonal colorways were a bit over the top for some, so this new release definitely brings it down a notch to more bearable temperature. Watch for these to hit Jordan Brand retailers like Eastbay if they haven’t already, or pick up a pair now on eBay.
