Ken Griffey Jr. is one of those signature footwear athletes that most of today’s generation was unable to see. Griffey’s heyday came with the Seattle Mariners, and if it weren’t for nagging injuries, Junior could have had the opportunity to hold the record for most home runs of all time. With the booming success of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1, Nike Sportswear is pushing forth Griffey’s legacy in shoe form by releasing the Nike Air Griffey Max 2 in several colorways – one of which is this all-new White/Grey/Orange combination. The Air Griffey Max 2 hasn’t released yet, but we’re already pondering what else could be in store; the rest of the Griffey line doesn’t have much street appeal, so does that mean we’ll get a Retro of the Air Diamond Fury, or perhaps a 1/2 Cent-like hybrid with all of Griffey’s models? Before we get too ahead of ourselves, take a look at the detailed images of this upcoming release and watch for these to hit retailers like Foot Locker on April 8th.
