Michael Jordan had a penchant for using animalistic prints on his sneakers – the first of which was elephant print on the Air Jordan III. The use of animal print was one of MJ’s first requests when he was discussing his third Air Jordan shoe with designer Tinker Hatfield, and as we all know, Tinker delivered. Another animal print arrives in this Air Jordan IX Sample, which features a grey snakeskin on the upper. These were a look-see sample of the Air Jordan IX Premio, but Nike’s pledge to eliminate exotic animal skins in their products could have been a reason why the Metallic Gold version was the chosen one for the Premio release. This grey snakeskin sample features a white midsole with grey outsole, like the Air Jordan IX Cool Grey, with the snakeskin mudguard and light grey leather upper. What do you think of this sample pair of the Air Jordan IX? Would you have preferred these to be the Premio release? Check out the extra images below and let us know what you think. Thanks Redfoot!
