Nike introduced the Nike Air Go in 1994, touting ‘Lightweight Performance’ cushioning which would later be named ‘Zoom’. ‘Lightweight Performance’ has pretty much been the dominant theme for Nike Basketball for decades, and with shoes like the Nike Hyperfuse and Zoom Kobe VI, the Swoosh is always pushing the ‘lighter is better’ motto to the edge. Seen on the feet of the NBA’s quick and the dead(ly) like Penny Hardaway, Jason Kidd, and Tim Hardaway, the Air Go LWP is certainly a classic from the 90’s, which is why many of you basketball fans during John Tesh’s NBA on NBC days (or those that remember the Penny On Air commercial) were ecstatic to see the LWP make a comeback in ’10. Arriving this March is another original colorway of White/Varsity Royal-Black, so take a look at this detailed gallery below and watch for these to hit Nike Basketball retailers next month. via SoleCollector.
