Before Kobe was a league ‘Venomenon’, he was a bit ‘Crazy’. The high-school phenom went straight to pro, inking a shoe deal with adidas almost immediately, which garnered some ‘hate’ from the older vets in the league. Being voted as a starter on the Western Conference All-Star team in ’98 didn’t help his cause either, because although he was beloved by the fans, he certainly did not put up an All-Star worthy campaign. Five championships later, those mouths have been quieted and Kobe is enjoying his role on the NBA throne, a greatness that even his former endorser cannot ignore. The adidas Crazy 8 will be coming back in a number of colorways in 2011, with rumors of it getting some playtime during the NBA All-Star Weekend. The adidas Crazy 8 is certainly one of adidas Basketball’s most memorable classics, so don’t miss out because the black/white edition is starting to hit adidas retailers such as Packer Shoes.
