There’s a whole pack of LA-themed Nike Zoom Kobe VIs on the way, and while the west coast megalopolis is certainly deserving, what about the world’s most populous nation? Last year saw a pretty obvious colorway for the ZK5 but the China edition Zoom Kobe VI takes a subtler approach. Instead of just using the PRC’s flag as a palette, these joints go for a lovely mix of grey and white with purple accents and just a hint of red. It’s a theme inspired by traditional Chinese pottery, and they should be considerably easier to wear than the ceramic Zoom Kobe IVs taking after a similar muse. The slideout box is pretty impressive too, another example of how Nike is pushing the bar on boxes to the point where you’ll probably want to keep them on display with the shoes.
