Jeremy Scott has had a major influence on how adidas Originals is perceived but here’s one of the relatively few times when you can look at an in-house design and immediately notice his impact. The adidas Originals Stan Smith Mid Iridescent uses the same birthday-cake-ice-cream material to give you CMY with the K coming in on the laces and lining, plus a white sole. But what sets these apart from J.Scott’s Rainbow Wings is that these joints blend their shades in a streak-y gradient that gives the material a lenticular look, despite it being smooth to the touch. Are these even crazier than the GITD snake or pony hair giraffe joints we’ve seen from Three Stripes this spring?
