2010 has been a great year for sneakers, and after giving our readers the opportunity to vote for their favorite kicks of the year, Sneaker News laid down a thorough list detailing the thirty best sneakers of the year. But it’s time focus on 2011, and in typical fashion, Sneaker News laid out the best topics of the past week to close out 2010 with a bang. Plenty of Air Jordan, Nike Basketball, and Nike SB sneakers were previewed, like the Air Jordan 2011, Nike Hyperfuse 2011, and the Zoom Koston One, all of which you can expect to covered completely in detail by Sneaker News in the coming months. Kobe and LeBron made some additional noise with their kicks as LeBron debuted yet another colorway of the LeBron 8 V.2 and Rice H.S. made a return to the Zoom Kobe VI. Staying on the topic of Kobe Bryant, it has been announced that adidas will re-release the adidas Crazy 8 – one of Kobe’s signature shoes during his pre-Nike days.
DJ Clark Kent brought back his ‘112’ colorway on one of his favorite sneakers of the year, the Nike Trainer SC 2010, and proved that his custom combination of volt green, 3M, and elephant print never fails. Another animal print was worth noting as well; the Nike Lunar Spider will release soon with tiger-stripes on the upper. One of the biggest ongoing stories was a massive sale of an incredible eBay auction, and although the prices were a bit higher than market, the items themselves were worth the look. Sneaker News also featured the Air Jordan VIII in the latest installment of the Michael Jordan Through The Years, detailing the VIII and Jordan’s first three-peat.
