Sneaker News gave you a teaser look at the upcoming Retro release of the Nike Air Griffey Max II, but before the curtain goes up on that shoe, it appears that Nike has at least one more Air Griffey Max 1 treat for us. Arriving in 2011 is this all-new colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in White, Black, Sport Red, and Metallic Silver. Sneaker News gave you a look at this sample a while back and even alluded to this colorway being the All-Star cleat The Kid wore during the 2003 MLB All-Star Game – will these carry that ‘nickname’? The Air Griffey Max 1 is undoubtedly one of Nike’s most successful Retro releases of the decade and if this is in fact the last colorway of the Griffey 1 for now, we liken that to Jordan retiring after winning his sixth – going out on top. Check out these new detailed shots and hit up MarqueeSole if you need these early because they’ve got a few sizes in right now.
