It seems like just yesterday the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA Championship but after an offseason that was filled with media hoopla and a shift of conference power, the 2010-11 NBA Season officially kicked off yesterday night. Only three games were scheduled but quite a line-up it was; the Suns, led by Steve Nash and the Nike Zoom Go Low Trash Talk, began their post-Amare era against the young and talented Portland Trail Blazers, while out East we got an early look at a possible Eastern Conference Finals match-up as the Boston Celtics opened up their season against the Miami Heat – with the Big Three from up North giving the Heat their first loss of the season. That game in particular featured a number of notable kicks, like Rajon Rondo’s Hyperfuse PE, Nate Robinson’s Air Jordan III 25th Anniversary, and Dwyane Wade’s Air Jordan 2010, as well as the debut of the LeBron 8, Kevin Garnett’s Anta signature, and Paul Pierce’s new Nikes.
However, Opening Night was stolen by none other than Los Angeles, as the Lakers were presented with their Championship rings before tip-off. Kobe Bryant debuted the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Ring Ceremony’ while teammate Ron Artest represented Ball’N, marking the seventh different brand Artest has worn during an NBA game. Their opponent, the Houston Rockets, featured some nice Feet as well – Kevin Martin in the Air Jordan 2010 Team, Courtney Lee in the Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid, and Aaron Brooks also in the Nike Zoom Go Low.
