Just as the Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill has given way to the Dean Smith Center where UNC now plays basketball, the shoe once named ‘Carmichael’ in its honor has been given a new moniker.  The Air Jordan Pure J offers a look at what Jays VI and VII might look like if they were created during today’s climate, with angular lines biting their way across the side panels for a spikey, aggressive feel.  The above pictured colorway is a shade darker than a perfect Tar Heel sendup, but whether it’s on Tobacco Road or Champs-Élysées, the white, French Blue and Flint Grey palette is equally beautiful.  A strong effort just in time for basketball season, the French Blue Pure J is available for pre-order now from Eastbay.
