The Air Jordan XV was released in early 2000 with a heel that read “23.6.15”. This set of numbers, of course, signified MJ’s uniform number, NBA titles and seasons, respectively, but the numbering convention used on this latest effort from Jordan Brand goes a different route. More akin to the Countdown Pack releases that combined Jays to equal 23, the Air Jordan 6-17-23 mashes together design elements from AJs VI and XVII. The result is a black, white and Carmine sneaker whose style is both as old and as fresh as the jazz music appearing on the tongue.
