Last Tuesday Sneaker News gave you an event recap of when Kobe Bryant visited China to do a Q&A session for his rabid fans in China. The country flat out loves the guy (remember, after the incident in Denver, Kobe commercials still ran in China). On Wednesday, July 28th, Kobe received another gift – on top of the showering praise he normally gets – in the form of a custom painted Nike Zoom Kobe IV constructed in ceramic. Wearable? No. Awe-inspiring? Most certainly. The white and yellow pair featured hand-painted graphics inspired by China’s cultural trademarks – lots of colorful ribbons and florals, a fierce yet friendly dragon, etc. – sitting pretty on a sculpted pair of Kobe’s fourth shoe. During the interview session and presentation of the gift, Kobe wore the Nike Zoom Kobe Dream Season II in the white/varsity purple/black colorway. With all the love he gets there, Kobe sure feels like he’s at home. Check out the gallery of images for a closer look at this amazing custom pair as well as images from the event after the jump. via kicks.cn.
