With Nike Sportswear applying the satiny Foamposite touch to a whole bunch of different kicks lately, here’s one with a design that’s nearly as crazy on its own. The Nike Shox R4 is one of the original spring-cushioned Swoosh runners from early in the ’00s, the running counterpart to Vince Carter’s Shox BB4 basketball shoe. That’s where the overlap had ended though, with Shox cushioning receding from the hardwood in place of Max and Zoom Airs and recently, LunarLight foam. Well, now the R4 has another connection to Nike Basketball, as the new model pictured above has been infused with the unmistakable Posite touch in the Eggplant colorway that’s been very popular of late.
