The Air Jordan XIII Retro is set to release as part of the Bin 23 collection later this year.  Even early preview photos clearly reveal the highest quality materials, but some are confused by the almost Virginia Tech-like combo of Team Red and Desert Clay, with one Sneaker News reader likening them to a “70s basement colorway”.  Jordan Brand head man Gentry Humphrey was recently spotted at the Quai54 streetball tourney in Paris rocking another AJXIII Bin 23, but his have a decidedly more ‘modern’ palette.

The black/grey/white trio has become increasingly common on sneakers these days, adding balance so that exuberant contrast shades can be free to do their high-energy thing without overwhealming the design, but the only ‘color’ on the Bin 23 alternates is the AJXIII’s famed holorgram jewel.  It makes for an interesting look, somewhere slightly removed from the typical Cool Grey looks from JB.  And this begs the question: which is your favorite version of the Air Jordan XIII Bin 23?  via Zapapedia
