For Nike SBs, Black and Gold has become synonymous with Takashi Hosokawa and his colorway of the SB Dunk that released in March 2003. This new colorway of the Nike SB P-Rod 2.5 can also be given that secondary nickname, with the black suede upper, gold leather swoosh, and white midsole mimicking the color blocking the Takashi SB Dunk Low.
