Converse might not have Dwayne Wade representing its basketball division any longer, but One Star’s greatest strength still lies with its retros and lifestyle designs. You’ll see old favorites like the Chuck Taylor, but expect some twists.
First up is the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Cup, which, as you might have guessed, goes with the cup-style sole for extra cushioning in both high and lowtops. Other new Chuck styles include the All Star Slouchy, a shoe for ladies you might call the ‘skinny jeans of sneakers’, and women also get the All Star Sock Roll Down, which features a built-in chunky ‘sock’, almost like an ’80s legwarmer. The All Star Big Star Pring should be a hit with the kids, as will the Dr. Seuss Pack. On the more ‘mature’ side of things, there’s also a collab with Woolrich, the Product (RED) collection continues, and that’s *just* the Chucks!
Other designs set to hit in Fall 2010 include 10 of the best looking One Star lowtops ever, with five vivid suede designs each in high and low. The Classic Trainer will return for its 35th anniversary, alongside two versions of the Star Player hightop, one style of which has a tighter fitting sock at the ankle. The Free Agent lifestyle hightop hearkens back to ’80s basketball aesthetics, while a range of collabs from John Varvatos shows how Converse continues to Make it in America.
Converse Skateboarding introduces Rune Glifberg’s Pro Model and the new Allston model, the Rune Pro’s Ox version. The Star Player low has been given the ‘S’ label and added to the CONS roster, and don’t forget about the rest of their core collection: Pro Leather S IIs, CVOs, and Sea Stars (oh my)!. This is just a massive collection, so click the jump below to check out all the upcoming styles from Converse.
