For the outer-boroughers who’ve made the countless trips out to the sandy beaches or for those who call Long Island “home”, it’s no mystery that Jones Beach is few notches lower in quality than those out in the Hamptons. Jones Beach is surely the everyman destination spot, as it is always booming with foot traffic and people from all corners of NYC and LI, but the Hamptons exudes an long-standing aura of a higher class that tiptoes around pretentiousness. But this second Long Island beach-inspired Nike Air Force 1 does more to unite than to create boundaries; check out the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Hamptons’ that features a translucent sole with a silhouette of Long Island on the bottom sole. The Jones Beach AF1 featured a sandy-colored canvas upper with a great graphic on the heel panel but the Hamptons pair features an all-white leather upper with a micro-perforated center panel, a special insole, and a crest of “H” on the tongue. Could we have a Rockaway Beach Air Force 1 coming up next? Check out these new images after the jump and prepare for a release at select NSW accounts on July 1st. via Complex.
