Air Jordan V (5) – White – Black – Fire Red – Dissolved

Air Jordan V (5) – White – Black – Fire Red – Dissolved

P127166764964

As the sneaker culture continues, we’ll be witnessing some of our older pairs literally dissolve away.  We’ve already seen a few pairs succumb to time, but this one might hit even closer to home as the Jordan V Fire Reds are undoubtedly one of the all-time Jordan greats.  Looking at this ’99 retro compared to the more recent CDP version, you can see just what 10 years can do to a shoe.  Not only is the footbed no longer sturdy, but the wear of the leather and severe yellowing of the medial panel and sole are quite evident as well.  Just image what the condition of an OG pair would be like.  As usual, the worst of the damage is done to the midsole, cracking and crumbling with every touch and handle.  While you look at these in grief, have a moment of silence for the fallen.  via Kenlu
