If you’re a loyal reader to SN, then you may be familiar with the work of Gabriel Dishaw. The junk artist recycles electronic parts and metals to create these full scale sculptures of popular sneakers, particularly Nike models. Dishaw will host his first ever solo exhibition for this year’s 360SEE Gallery Earth Day Event. Each piece of work is fitted with recycled luggage to home the sculpted pair.
Additionally, there will be 3 sets of AF1’s which Dishaw will customize with his signature style, such as circuit board Swooshes and micro-chip lace locks. Each set of AF1’s will be limited to 5 editions (size depends on buyer’s request) with all proceeds going to the Earth Day Network. Hosted by Chicago sneaker spot, St. Alfred, the show opened up last Friday and will continue until the end of May. Check out some of Dishaw’s pieces after the jump.
