In recent years, Jordan Brand (Nike as a whole, really) has ventured further and further into Dr. Moreau’s jungle. With JB, it started as the Dub Zero, which was supremely popular thanks to the then-new laser etching. There were so many Dub Zero bootlegs at first that this seemed to spur JB back into action with new colourways. Then we saw the Spiz’ike, Six Rings, and a whole host of hybrids that have been met with mixed reviews.
Toss these into that last pile, as the Air Jordan Flight 9 definitely looks familiar. It’s just that nothing is in the right place, at least how we remembered it. It’s obvious that we’re dealing with an AJIII sole and the AJIV’s mesh netting, but then there are a bunch of other elements that sorta look like they were from other shoes, who themselves sorta wanted to look like a genuine Jay. The result: an Olympic-numbered early era mashup that makes you wonder what came in with the silver. Can you see yourself in this pair of Air Jordan Flight 9s? via SoleHaven/NK.
