Nike Zoom LeBron Power VI (6) – Samples

Nike Zoom LeBron Power VI (6) – Samples

zp1

Before Jason Petrie took the Nike LeBron series to Max Air technology, Ken ‘Kenzo’ Link had designed the entire Zoom Air-equipped line.  Kenzo also designed the original LeBron secondary sneaker, the 20.5.5, and its more friendly-named successor the Zoom LeBron Soldier series.  Because another of his designs ended up as the final version of ‘The Six’, the Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) samples you’re seeing above have come to be known as the Nike Kenzo Power or Nike Zoom LeBron Power VI (6).

This version is far sleeker than the notoriously bulky ZL6.  It still has a similar feel on the back of the midsole, but otherwise we find a marked reduction in sole thickness (and presumably, weight).  Maybe these couldn’t stand up to LeBron’s massive frame, but when you’re designing a shoe for a 260+ pound genetic freak who can jump out of the gym, you gotta make adjustments.  Though this sneaker will never release, it’s clear that somebody over in Beaverton liked the eyelets, as the top two of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) are basically a fused version of those found on the Kenzo.  Take a look at more photos after the jump and keep it glued to Sneaker News in case any of these ever pop up on the ‘bay.  via LRJ23
