As you probably already know, each year, Nike teams up with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon for the Doernbecher Freestyle project, where talented young patients get a chance to create some imaginative Nike sneakers to be sold for a very good cause. This years batch of creations is as intriguing as ever thanks to the outside the box approach taken by many of the young designers. For the 2009 collection, there are a variety of different models chosen and each has been given a very unique makeover courtesy of this year’s Doernbecher junior design team. Joining the Air Jordan VI, which we’ve already shown you numerous previews of, will be an Air Force 1, P-Rod III, Air Max Zenyth, Dunk High and Shox NZ. Keep reading after the jump for a better look at each shoe and its designer, and be advised that the collection will hit nationwide Niketown locations as well as NikeStore sometime in mid-November.
