So far, 2009 has been a good year for Nike Basketball with the LeBron and Kobe shoes both getting high praise and the Hyperize and Hypermax picking up right where the Hyperdunk left off. Now it’s time to take a look at 2010 and the wonders that are in store for the Nike b-ball line. Helping to lead the charge will be the Zoom Barcelona, which like many of the other new models, is a hybrid of some classic styles. The Zoom Barcelona takes its most obvious cues from Charles Barkley’s Air Force 180, but there are also some additional elements from David Robinson’s Air Ballistic Force High as well, giving the shoe something of an early 90’s look, but with a contemporary twist. The name, Zoom Barcelona, indicates that these kicks may be considered some kind of tribute to the original Dream Team, who cruised to the gold in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.
