If only we all had held onto our old kicks and kept them in such good condition. This collector has amassed a nice assortment of OG Nike basketball models, mostly from the Force and Flight lines. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, these super-high clunkers were the cream of the crop when it came to basketball kicks. Many of these were among the first batches of Nike basketball sneakers to feature the visible Air bubble and many sport very Air Jordan-like midsoles. While the functionality of most of these may be a little outdated, the designs are still in many ways, more aesthetically appealing than many of today’s “state of the art” models.

The standout of this group has to be the Air Command Force, Nike’s attempt to compete with Reebok’s Pump technology. The shoe was immortalized by Woody Harrelson’s Billy Hoyle character from the movie White Men Can’t Jump and has since gone on to become a cult favorite. Actual OG Air Command Forces in wearable condition are pretty few and far between these days, so our hats are off to Lango for holding on to all these classic kicks for so long.  Photos via langox510x/SC
